“Vision and 11 Tips to help you Succeed”

Last week’s blog was “I  AM” ~ Visualizations and the Power of Positivity”.  Did you put the tips into practice?

What is the difference between visualizations and vision?

To be successful you must have a vision whether it’s in business, fitness, a project or a goal.  Once you have the vision, then you can create visualizations to review daily every morning and before going to bed to solidify your  “I AM”  goals.

The vision is what you control and want to come true in your mind.  You can mentally see it and describe it in such detail using visual images, touch or smells too.  It is your vision of your future self.   Once you have the vision, then you will create your visualization tool to change your mindset and create goals and an action plan.

Vision = Clear Purposeful Goal + a Completion Date

Elon Musk has a goal of renewable energy, space exploration and self-drivable cars.  He states the first cargo mission to Mars will be in 2022.   He has a vision, the goal and a date!

Think of your vision as stepping stones to your success.

You have the vision of a beach body in 8 months.  You can see yourself in a gorgeous new bathing suit with your fabulous hat and Dolce & Gabbana shades strolling along a tropical white sandy beach as the waves splash your perfectly tanned legs sipping a pina colada.

Can you envision it?   Do you feel the wind and the waves?  What does the sea air taste like?  Is the pina colada delicious?  Do you want this vision?   Perfect.

Here’s another example:

You’ve dreamed of success in your company earning top recognition surpassing your peers wearing a designer outfit with your hair and makeup to perfection wearing Kate Spade jewelry and gliding across the stage in your Christian Louboutin heels shivering as the applause of tens of thousands of people cheering your success as you are handed the white rose by a top leader who hugs you and whispers congratulations you deserve it.    As you look around the room you feel proud of your accomplishments which changed your life, your family and your team.  The pinnacle?  You didn’t give up!

Tips to find your vision:

  • Sit in quiet for 15 min and be mindful of your breathing.
  • What do you want?
  • What do you need to do?
  • What project will benefit me and others?
  • What do I need to know right now?
  • What is the vision to implement?
  • What am I excited about?
  • What do I love to do ?
  • Do people come to me for advise? What is the common thread?
  • Where do I see myself in 5 years? 1 year? 6 months?
  • What steps do I need to take to reach the goals and my purpose?

Write down your insights in no particular order.  When finished, review your notes and find out what pops out or a theme.

Perhaps you may have goals to hit certain sales, or levels.  How will you achieve each goal?   Step back and ask yourself the questions above to realize who you are as a person.  Get into action to be associated with different groups, volunteer and do what you love.  Make friends, connections and change people’s lives.

First you need a vision.  Next create your Visualization to read every morning and every night.  Believe in the power of your mind.   Believe you are successful.
